The nuclear submarine "Prince Oleg" of project 955A "Borey-A" has arrived at the Northern Fleet. The personnel of the agro-industrial complex will undergo basic training. This was reported in the press service of the Sevmash enterprise (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), reports TASS .
"The nuclear submarine Prince Oleg, built on the Sevmash (part of the USC), has arrived at the Northern Fleet. This is a temporary base of the agro-industrial complex of the Borey-A project. He will serve in the Pacific Fleet," the press service reported.
The company noted that the agro-industrial complex was inspected by the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev and the fleet commission.
The press service also reported that the personnel of the Prince Oleg submarine will take a basic training course and pass course tasks at sea in the Northern Fleet. After that, the APC will go to a permanent place of service in the Pacific Fleet. The submarine will be based in Vilyuchinsk.
Earlier, TASS columnist Dmitry Litovkin compared the submarines of project 955 "Borey" with the submarines of project 885 "Ash". He noted that one "Borey" costs 23 billion rubles.
In October, Izvestia reported that the Vilyuchinsk naval base, which is called the "Hornet's Nest" in NATO, will be expanded.
