MOSCOW, January 31 - RIA Novosti. A detachment of warships and support vessels of the Northern Fleet, including the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and the frigate Admiral Kasatonov, as part of exercises with the Arctic Expeditionary Group, worked out the search for a submarine in the Norwegian Sea, the press service of the Northern Fleet reported.
"The crews of the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and the frigate Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov, using an anti-submarine helicopter, searched for submarines of a conditional enemy," the report says.
It is noted that the sailors practiced the tactics of searching for a submarine in various ways using on-board sonar systems, as well as according to information from the pilots of the upgraded Ka-27M anti-submarine helicopter. The helicopter took off from the Frigate and conducted a visual, radar and magnetometric search for submarines.
