"During the exercise, strategic rocket scientists are working out the issues of bringing missile systems to field positions, making marches up to 100 kilometers long, dispersing units with a change of field positions, their engineering equipment, organization of camouflage and combat protection," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
At such exercises in the Strategic Missile Forces, I widely use special equipment. The unmanned aerial vehicle included in each security complex will help strategic intelligence officers to perform this task, among other things.
Made on the basis of an armored personnel carrier, the anti-sabotage Typhoon is equipped with a navigation system and means of countering radio-controlled explosive devices, a thermal imager for night reconnaissance and an echolocation system. According to the designers, the smart equipment of this machine will easily detect enemy objects at a distance of up to 5 kilometers, and foot saboteurs - from three.
It should also be borne in mind that a curfew service is always organized on the paths of autonomous launchers. She is engaged in the protection of routes and columns with large-sized equipment, monitors its passage through checkpoints. And a special monitoring team constantly monitors the radiation, chemical and biological situation.
"In total, the units of the missile compound will work out several dozen introductory ones, including those aimed at studying the capabilities of a compound armed with mobile ground-based missile systems to maintain combat capability in various conditions of the situation," the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
