Artillery units equipped with the latest engineering system "Agriculture" have been formed in the engineering unit of the Southern Federal District

TSAMTO, January 21. In the engineering unit of the Southern Military District, stationed in the Rostov region, a division has been formed equipped with sets of remote mining engineering system (ISDM) "Agriculture".

Engineering systems of remote mining ISDM "Agriculture" are similar to multiple launch rocket systems, which are in service with artillery troops, therefore, units of engineering troops equipped with the latest complexes have received artillery names.

The divisional set of ISDM "Agriculture" was received by the engineering unit of the Southern Federal District at the end of last year. At the moment, the combat coordination of these units has been completed and the divisions have begun working out tasks for their intended purpose as part of tactical groups. Specialists of the Southern Military District are modeling new ways of using the barrier as part of mobile detachments during the exercises.

For the first time, the system was tested in the troops of the Southern Military District during state tests at a special exercise of engineering troops in August 2020, where the ISDM "Agriculture" was successfully applied as part of an engineering and reconnaissance firing circuit.

In total, in 2021, more than 50 modern samples of engineering equipment were received for the armament of formations and military units of the 8th, 49th and 58th combined arms armies and the Black Sea Fleet. Among the novelties are the UR-77 "Serpent Gorynych" mine clearing installations, heavy mechanized bridges TMM-3M2, integrated cleaning stations SKO-10K, engineering barrier machines IMR-2, track laying machines BAT-2, floating transporters PTS-2, tank bridge laying machines MTU-72, tracked mine barriers GMZ, MDK-3 excavation machines, cranes with a lifting capacity of 16 tons and 32 tons, excavators.

In addition, modernized multifunctional robotic complexes "Uran-6", special vehicles of mine clearance groups (SAGR), mobile engineering complexes of MICR intelligence are in service in the engineering units and divisions of the Southern Military District, the press service of the district reports.
