GaardTech company presented mock-ups of Russian tanks and BMP-3 for exercises
The Australian company GaardTech has shown new models of equipment that look similar to the Russian T-72, T-90 tanks and the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. The mockups are designed to simulate the equipment of a conditional enemy in European exercises. This is reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The publication notes that the layouts have received characteristic external elements that cause the similarity of GaardTech products with Russian technology. An imitation of the searchlights of the Shtora optoelectronic counteraction complex, which is installed on T-90 tanks, was installed on the tank layout. Also, the movable target received a mock-up of a machine gun installation.
GaardTech models were equipped with a wheeled chassis. The operator can operate the machine remotely. Also, the equipment of the conditional enemy received rotating towers and special equipment that causes the visibility of the machine in the infrared range. This allows you to use mock-ups during exercises in the dark.
In November, it became known about the modernization of models of Russian tanks in the United States. The equipment of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the US Army received rotating turrets and modern sighting devices.
In October, GaardTech presented a mobile mock-up of the T-14 Armata tank. A Brisbane-based company creates mock-ups of military equipment for the needs of the Australian Defense Forces.
