Moscow. January 3. INTERFAX - The Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopter has completed takeoffs and landings on the deck of the Admiral Essen frigate in the Black Sea, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) reported.
"In total, in accordance with the flight task, the helicopter pilots of the Black Sea Fleet, in cooperation with the crew of the frigate, worked out more than 10 takeoffs and landings on the deck of the ship on the move and when anchored at sea," the press service said.
According to the fleet, after a successful landing on board, the helicopter crew checked the ship's calculations that ensure the actions of deck aviation.
"Ship landings are the most difficult type of training for naval aviation flight personnel: first, the crews practice airfield flights, then route flights, and only after that they are allowed to land on the helicopter pads of ships," the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet emphasized.
The Admiral Essen frigate is equipped with Kalibr long-range cruise missiles (developed by the Novator Design Bureau, Almaz-Antey Concern JSC). Previously, he repeatedly participated in the Russian operation against militants off the coast of Syria.
