19FortyFive: The US Air Force B-21 Raider bomber will be able to destroy Russian S-500 systems
The promising unobtrusive strategic bomber B-21 Raider of the US Air Force (Air Force), considered the "coolest" aircraft in the world, can be used against Russia, the American publication 19FortyFive promises .
"For the Russian wartime scenario, the B-21s can be targeted at modern anti-aircraft systems such as the S-400 and S-500. This is considered a threat to the US Air Force. For example, the S-500 can hit targets at a distance of 500 kilometers and has a good chance of destroying an aircraft that does not use stealth technology," the publication says.
The publication notes that the B-21 Raider is capable of hitting Russian ships armed with Kalibr cruise missiles. "The B-21 can launch its own cruise missiles to counter Russian projects against Ukraine," the publication claims.
In September, US Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall announced that five strategic stealth B-21 Raider bombers were being built at the Northrop Grumman plant in Palmdale, California.
In June, The National Interest magazine wrote that the B-21 Raider would be invulnerable to the promising Russian S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile systems.
In May, The Drive reported that Kendall supported the Pentagon's acquisition of 145 B-21 Raider units.
