Rostec State Corporation announced the launch of serial production of the T-14 tank on the Armata platform. Vladimir Artyakov, the first deputy director of the state corporation, said this in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel, Interfax reports.
"Among the main, I would say powerful or breakthrough projects for the supply of the Ministry of Defense, we can mention our new T-14 tank, which everyone in the world is already talking about, we are launching it into mass production," Artyakov said.
Also, the representative of Rostec noted that now the state corporation is approaching one hundred percent fulfillment of the state defense order. Earlier in the material of the publication "Military-Industrial Courier" they told about the tests of the Armata tank in Syria. The publication noted that the military tests revealed a number of shortcomings.
In November, the acting head of the Main Armored Vehicle Directorate (GABTU) of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Alexander Shestakov, announced that the completion of the T-14 tests is scheduled for 2022.
