MOSCOW, November 29. /tass/. New training aircraft are planned to be delivered to the troops by the end of 2021. This was announced in an interview with the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia, Lieutenant General Andrey Yudin.
"More than 50 aircraft engines have been repaired and delivered to military units, it is planned to deliver 16 new aircraft by the end of the year (seven units of L-410UVP-E20, nine units of DA-42T)," he said.
According to him, also in 2021, work was carried out to increase the resource of the Yak-130 aircraft engine fleet in order to maintain the serviceability of the training aircraft fleet and ensure the flight training plan for cadets of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School.
A localized version of the Czech turboprop transport aircraft L-410UVP-E20 is produced in Russia at the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). In the Russian Air Force, the aircraft is used to train pilots of military transport aviation.
DA-42T (Diamond DA-42T) is a four-seat twin-engine turboprop aircraft of Austrian design. Production is also partially localized at UZGA. It is used for initial training of pilots.
