Russian generals ignore the "cold shower" on the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes (ZRPC) and other air defense systems (air defense) from Israeli Harop barrage ammunition and Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones, says the Polish edition of Defence24.
The publication claims, in particular, that the "Shell" is actually not capable of destroying drones with a small effective scattering area at the range of their use of missile weapons. "The detection range of such objects turns out to be less than the minimum range of missiles included in the ZRPC," the newspaper writes.
Other problems of the "Shell" are its inability to act against low-flying maneuvering missiles, such as the Israeli Delilah and the French Storm Shadow, and the low accuracy of the ZRPC is also mentioned.
The publication is confident that the Russian industry is able to solve these issues, provided there is sufficient funding.
In November, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, said that the Russian Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S complexes destroyed rockets fired by Israel at Syria. According to him, Israeli F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters fired 12 rockets from Lebanese airspace on the night of Tuesday, November 23. The strike was carried out by guided missiles on objects in the territory of the province of Homs. The air defense forces on duty of the Syrian army reacted to it. Ten missiles were destroyed with the help of Russian weapons.
