SIMFEROPOL, Nov 24 - RIA Novosti. The crews of Su-27SM3 and Su-30M2 fighters from the mixed aviation unit of the Southern Military District (SE) performed training flights over the Black Sea and practiced bombing attacks on the ships of a conditional enemy, said the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Alexei Rulev.
"During the event, the pilots of modern fighters worked out the tasks of repelling an enemy air attack on a naval base and delivering a retaliatory air strike on the ships of a conditional enemy in cooperation with the forces of the Black Sea Fleet," Rulev said, noting that the fighters are stationed in the Krasnodar Territory.
About 10 aircraft crews, the patrol ship Vasily Bykov, the small anti-submarine ships Kasimov and Yeisk took part in the exercise.
"The peculiarity of this stage of training flights is the working out by fighter crews of the coherence of joint actions when striking enemy surface targets," the Black Sea Fleet reported.
While working out combat training tasks, aircraft crews improved their skills in performing complex aerobatics, tactical techniques for intercepting and attacking air targets, countering enemy electronic means.
