Russian hypersonic missiles "Zircon" will be tested with a volley launch from the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", which will test the concept of a "swarm of bees", which allows distracting the fire of the enemy's anti-aircraft system (air defense), writes TASS columnist Dmitry Litovkin.
"Only one target can see. She organizes the attack by transmitting information about where the victim is and who is guarding her. Then the machines will decide who is attacking and who is distracting the air defense fire on themselves. Having destroyed the main target in the warrant, the missiles will redistribute the roles and start stinging the survivors again," the author says.
According to him, thanks to the Zircon, Russian ships gain an advantage over the enemy. "Each of them can snap back with a missile, which no air defense system will be able to shoot down in the foreseeable future. And it doesn't matter which warhead is on it: nuclear or conventional. The sediment from the meeting will be equally unpleasant," the observer is sure.
In October, the commander of the Northern Fleet, Alexander Moiseev, reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu that tests of the Russian hypersonic cruise missile "Zircon" from a submarine had been successfully completed.
