Formations of the Pacific Fleet Marine Corps (Pacific Fleet) have completed a planned bilateral brigade tactical exercise (DBRTU) with a live firing stage in Primorsky Krai. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia on Friday, October 8.
The exercise was held as part of the final inspection of troops during the summer training period at the marine amphibious training ground at Cape Clerk, units stationed in Primorye and Kamchatka participated in it.
The Marine Corps of the Pacific Fleet has worked out practical actions in conducting combat in defense and in the offensive. The units were transferred from Kamchatka to the waiting area in advance. During the drawing of the main stage, they carried out the landing of the amphibious assault on the unequipped coast from the large amphibious ships "Peresvet", "Oslyabya", "Admiral Nevelskoy" and "Nikolai Vilkov" by the methods of floating and at close range.
The landing was supported by a detachment of surface ships, he struck at the firing points of the conditional enemy on the coast together with Su-25 attack aircraft and Ka-52 attack helicopters of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Eastern Military District.
The defending brigade of marines provided protection of the bridgehead from the advance of a conditional enemy deep into the coast, while using non-standard methods of combat.
During the active phase of the exercise, live firing was carried out from the armament of armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, BMP-3, 122-m self-propelled howitzers "Carnation", T-80BV tanks and ZSU "sHilka".
The commanders of the Primorsky and Kamchatka formations did not know the intent of each other's actions and acted according to the actual situation. In total, more than 5,000 military personnel, about 900 units of weapons and military equipment, up to 15 ships, boats and support vessels, as well as more than ten aircraft and helicopters were involved.
On October 5, the Pacific Fleet corvette "Loud" hit a cruise missile target with anti-aircraft missiles during an exercise in the Sea of Japan. In the course of practical actions, the calculations of the corvette's air defense were timely detected, escorted, and then destroyed a conditional enemy - a Malachite cruise missile launched by the crew of the Razliv small rocket ship.
