The crews of the Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft of the Pacific Fleet (TOPF) during the exercises in Kamchatka worked out the destruction of a simulated enemy submarine. This was reported to journalists on Monday, September 13, in the press service of the TOPF.
"During the performance of tasks over the water area of the Avacha Bay at the first stage of the exercise, accompanied by MiG-31 fighters, the pilots carried out a comprehensive application of radar and sonar detection equipment with the setting of buoys, receiving and analyzing information," the press service noted.
As part of the second stage of the exercise, the crews of three Il-38 aircraft alternately bombed a conditional target that imitated a simulated enemy submarine.
In total, more than 20 aircraft and helicopters took part in the exercises in Kamchatka.
On September 12, the crews of the aircraft of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) together with the aviation of the Western Military District (ZVO) at the joint exercises "West-2021" worked out a massive bombing strike. The exercises were held at a training ground in the Smolensk region.
So, the crews of long-range Tu-22m3 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Su-34 ZVO used aerial bombs on targets that designated armored vehicles, concrete shelters and camouflaged command posts of a potential enemy. In total, about 20 aircraft of operational-tactical and long-range aviation were involved in the flights.
On the same day, the military of the Baltic Fleet at the Zapad-2021 exercises organized the defense of the sea coast and the amphibious landing operation with the involvement of the infantry of the Northern Fleet. The events were held on the territory of the military training ground Khmelevka, located in the Kaliningrad region.
