Chinese VT-4 tanks, which are in service with Pakistan, may become a threat to the Russian T-90 of the Indian armed forces. The ammunition of Chinese vehicles will be able to fight with Russian tanks. A similar opinion was expressed by the authors of the portal The Military Watch.
In April last year, Chinese media reported on the supply of VT-4 tanks to Pakistan. It is believed that initially Islamabad will receive about a hundred tanks manufactured by Norinco. The authors of The Military Watch emphasize that the tank fleet of Pakistan consists entirely of Chinese-made vehicles. The VT-4 will complement the Al-Khalid tank, developed on the basis of copies of the T-72 tank units, and the Al-Zarrar, which is based on the base of the Soviet T-54A. Taking into account past tenders, Pakistan can order at least three hundred VT-4,writes The Military Watch.
The VT-4 will become the most combat-ready tank in Pakistan. The car received a complex of active protection and a diesel engine with a capacity of 1300 horsepower. The Military Watch separately highlights the arsenal of ammunition of the VT-4 gun. The authors of the material write that the Chinese shells "are considered one of the most powerful in the world." This will allow Pakistani tanks to pose a threat to "the Indian T-90S, and possibly even the T-90MS," the authors of The Military Watch believe.
Earlier, a rare modification of the T-90S tank was noticed in India. On Twitter, they published a picture of an early version of the tank with a cast turret, which was originally exported. Later, the machines received a welded tower.
