As the Chief of the General Staff noted, the Army-2021 site presents modern and promising samples of weapons, military and special equipment of Russian production, many of which are unique and have no analogues in the world.
He said that Russian military complexes are on combat duty day and night, in all climatic zones, in the air, on the ground, on the water, as well as in outer space.
"This has become possible due to the fact that the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex fulfill the state defense order in a timely and high - quality manner and on time," Gerasimov said.
Awards to the best enterprises of the "defense industry" were presented by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko.
The main prize of the Army-2021 forum was awarded to the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation.
KTRV is a leading Russian developer and manufacturer of tactical missile weapons. This is the main organization for the development of hypersonic weapons.
For the successful creation of Angara missiles, the Khrunichev Center received an award, Admiralty Shipyards were awarded for the creation of a group of non-nuclear submarines, for the supply of modern missile weapons - the Novator Design Bureau (Almaz-Antey). Votkinsky Zavod was awarded for serial deliveries under the State Budget, and Rubin NPP was awarded for deliveries of automated control systems. The department's awards were received by other defense industry enterprises.
As Interfax reported, on August 24, at the Army-2021 forum, the Russian Defense Ministry signed new contracts for 500 billion rubles with enterprises of the military-industrial complex for the supply of weapons and modernization of military equipment.
Under the new contracts, the Russian military, in particular, is starting to purchase the Zircon hypersonic missile, will receive a batch of Kalibr cruise missiles, missiles for the Kinzhal hypersonic air complex, a batch of attack drones, reconnaissance ships.
According to the signed contract, the Tu-95MS bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons will be modernized. This is the first contract for the deep modernization of the Tu-95MS combat strategic bombers to the appearance of the Tu-95MSM.
