Most of the modules have been independently tested
KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 25. /TASS/. The Uralvagonzavod Concern (UVZ, part of the Rostec State Corporation) has developed a series of remotely controlled combat modules (DUBM) designed to equip ships of the Navy. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the UVZ during the International military-Technical Forum "Army-2021".
"The Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" (part of the UVZ) has developed a wide range of remotely controlled combat modules of 7.62 mm, 12.7 mm and 30 mm calibers for equipping carriers for various purposes. At the same time, it is planned to manufacture most of the modules in several versions, including marine ones, " the UVZ informed.
As noted in the concern, at present, the navy has created marine DPV-RBP DBMS of 12.7 mm caliber for patrol boats and ships and a modification of the 30-mm module 32B01. " The marine version of the DPV-RBP takes into account the specifics of integrating electronic equipment and the sighting and observation complex into the ship's control system, provides for mandatory strengthening of the resistance of protective coatings of parts to the aggressive effects of sea water and a special masking exterior paint. The same can be said with regard to the ship's combat module with a caliber of 30 millimeters, which is a marine modification of the land combat module 32B01 with stabilized weapons and a target tracking machine, as well as its version with the removed weapons," the UVZ reported.
Most of the modules have passed autonomous tests that confirmed compliance with the requirements, and are at the final stages of state tests as part of carriers, including ships, the concern added. "Some of the modules are already being mass-produced or are in the pre-production stage," the press service added.
The Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" is the largest Russian developer of barrel artillery.
The Army-2021 Forum is being held at the Patriot Exhibition Center near Moscow from August 22 to 28.
