TSAMTO, August 13. At the Mulino training ground, military personnel of the separate engineer-sapper regiment of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the ZVO used the Uran-6 robotic complex for the first time.
He was involved in a tactical exercise at a special training ground designed to train the actions of troops in urban conditions.
According to the plan of the exercise, the conditional enemy took up defense in the settlement and carried out continuous mining of approaches and adjacent roads on the route of tank troops. The military personnel of the ZVO conducted an engineering reconnaissance of the area, destroyed the laid mines, organized a pontoon crossing and gave the tank units the opportunity to occupy the dominant height. Engineering-assault and reconnaissance subgroups in OVR-2-02 protection suits destroyed a simulated enemy in a populated area and carried out a continuous cleaning of the area using the Uran-6 robotic complex.
This complex can be controlled remotely at a distance of up to 1 km. It is equipped with 4 video cameras that provide a 360-degree view. "Uran-6" is capable of withstanding explosions with a capacity of up to four kg of TNT, as well as overcoming a vertical wall up to 1 m high and a moat 1.5 m wide.
In total, more than 300 military personnel of the Western Military District were involved in the exercise, about 30 units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved, including BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, IMR-2 barrier vehicles, UR-77 self-propelled mine clearance units, T-72B3 tanks with mine trawls, the press service of the Western Military District reports.
