The director of production of the corporation, Valery Teplov, said that a modern section for the production of disks is being formed in the workshop No. 43 of the Moscow PC "Salyut"
MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec state Corporation) will robotize the section of turbine disks of aircraft engines by 2023. This was reported to TASS by the director of production of the corporation Valery Teplov.
"In the workshop No. 43 of the Moscow PC "Salyut", an ultra-modern section for the production of disks is being formed, this is one of the main types and sizes of parts in a gas turbine engine. At the second stage of the formation of this section, the removal and loading of disks during the operation will be carried out by a robot," he said.
According to him, the robot manipulator will be delivered to the production of turbine disks by 2023. "And at the same site, we are making a standard solution for managing any production site in the corporation," said the production director of UEC.
Teplov explained that the production of turbine disks is a very responsible process, since they must be strictly verified geometrically, and also have a certain heat resistance; one mistake can lead to a catastrophe.
UEC is an integrated structure that produces engines for military and civil aviation, space programs, installations of various capacities for the production of electric and thermal energy, gas pumping and shipboard gas turbine units.
