The Ministry of Defense equips the troops not only with modern equipment, but also with its models. The models are needed by the military in order to mislead those who are too closely monitoring everything that is being done in the Russian army and navy garrisons, using air and space intelligence for this, among other things.
Judging by the information posted on the public procurement portal, now the defense department needs pneumatic models of tanks, fighters and missile systems. The Ministry of War is ready to spend more than 48 million rubles on their acquisition. Judging by the application, we are talking, in particular, about the models of the T-72 tank, the Su-27 fighter, the MiG-31 high-altitude interceptor, the Iskander-M missile system and the Buk anti-aircraft missile system.
The military is ready to pay a lot of money for these products. For example, inflatable planes in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are estimated at almost 11 million rubles. Mock-ups of missile systems - in 8.5-9 million. Dummy tanks - 5.6 million. Moreover, disguised for greater plausibility, the T-72 will cost 3.3 million more expensive than the usual layout.
It is known that modern mock-ups of military equipment are externally difficult to distinguish from real tanks, aircraft, launchers. To make them more plausible, new materials are used in the production of such products. In particular, light metallic fabrics, which also reflect radar radiation, like real combat vehicles. And in places where real equipment has, for example, an engine, special thermoelements are sewn into the layouts. They create the appearance of the power plant operation.
According to the company that develops such products, the pneumatic package is a frame covered with an airtight shell. It simulates samples of military equipment with a high degree of detail. Each such dummy contains thermal and radar simulators, a power unit, a fan, etc. It is clear that such models weigh much less than real tanks, planes and missiles. It is reported that the weight of one layout is from 30 to 100 kg.
