TSAMTO, July 12. Military divers of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) took part in a special exercise at the base of the ships with the use of modern equipment and equipment.
The descents of divers were carried out in the berthing area to a depth of up to 10 m using modern diving universal equipment IED-5. This kit is designed to ensure the life of a diver when performing underwater technical, rescue and other types of work at depths up to 60 m at a water temperature from -2 to +35 degrees C. The equipment is operable for prolonged use in fresh and salt water.
Before diving, the divers took a theoretical training course in their specialty for several months, fulfilled the standards, including special engineering and reconnaissance diving, and also performed descents in a specially equipped pool on the basis of the training complex "Caspian", where they learned to control the oxygen supply, navigate in the water in conditions of limited visibility, give signals with gestures and using underwater lights.
After passing a special training course, the divers began working out elements for examining the bottom of an open reservoir, carried out a set of measures to detect dangerous objects and then extract them to the surface.
During the summer training period, the military personnel of the Caspian Flotilla will improve their professional skills as part of rescue teams when performing marine amphibious training with the use of military equipment by marine units, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
