The Russian Armed Forces see the development of strategic nuclear forces and robotic equipment as their priority.
Financing of the supply of weapons and equipment within the framework of the State Defense Order to the army and navy is proceeding at a faster pace. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, speaking at the board of the military department. Shoigu said that already now the rate of placement of the state defense order is higher than last year and is 95 percent.
In general, the share of modern weapons and military equipment in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by the end of this year will be about 72 percent.
The Minister stressed that when planning the procurement of weapons and equipment, it is important to ensure the priority development of strategic nuclear forces, general-purpose forces, troop control systems and robotic equipment.
The board also discussed the development of the Central Military District, against the background of the turbulent situation that is currently developing in the Central Asian direction. First of all, there are threats that may come from Afghanistan after the withdrawal of the American contingent from there.
Shoigu stressed that against the background of the growth of such threats in the district, the improvement of control systems continues, re-equipment is being carried out with the latest models, new methods of conducting combat operations are being introduced. The district has significantly increased the coherence of government bodies.The Minister stressed that by the end of the year, the command of the Central Military District will have to form and reorganize four military units and divisions.
In addition, two aviation regiments of the district will be re-equipped with modernized Su-34M front-line bombers and MiG-31BM long-range interceptor fighters. Shoigu stressed that these measures will significantly increase the capabilities of the district for the fire defeat of the enemy and the fight against cruise missiles in the Central Asian strategic direction.
In general, according to Shoigu, by the end of 2021, the district will receive more than 1,200 units of new and modernized equipment.
In addition, the board discussed preparations for the international military-technical forum "Army-2021", which will be held at the end of August in the Patriot Park.
According to the minister, invitations to participate in the" Army " have already been sent to 133 foreign defense departments, of which 74 have already agreed to visit the exhibition. More than a thousand enterprises and organizations will participate in the forum.
The Minister shared some details of the preparations for this exhibition. So, in the first days of the forum, the Days of Military-Technical Cooperation will be held at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. Also, a new exhibition "Arctic" will be presented at the "Army" with a display of promising samples of equipment used in northern latitudes.

The first graduation of the Tula Suvorov Military School took place in Tula. A solemn formation was held on the training ground. The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu and the Governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin presented 63 graduates with certificates of completion of training.
Six children also received badges "For special achievements in teaching". Most of the graduates intend to link their future with the army and plan to enroll in universities of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Sergei Shoigu handed over to the Tula Suvorov Military School for storage the historical banner of the Suvorov school, which existed in Tula from 1944 to 1960.
