In Russia, they began to create the first prototypes of the heavy shock robotic complex "Shturm".
According to RIA Novosti, citing sources in the military-industrial complex, the development is carried out by the research and production corporation "Uralvagonzavod" (UVZ).
"In particular, a mobile control center for the complex's combat vehicles and the vehicles themselves with various combat modules, including a module with a 125-mm smoothbore shortened gun, are being created. All vehicles of the complex are built on the chassis of the T-72B3 tank, " said one of the agency's interlocutors.
Other models will include a block of Bumblebee rocket-propelled flamethrowers, paired 30-millimeter automatic guns, and a block of 220-millimeter thermobaric unguided rocket projectiles. At the same time, the combat vehicles of the Shturm complex themselves will have a high level of protection against enemy anti-tank weapons.
On the air of Sputnik radio, a military observer, a retired colonel
Viktor Litovkin explained what the shortened gun is used for.
According to him, "Shturm" will add to the line of Russian robotic systems.
