The Chinese have tested a 20-barrel rotating gun that can be used to protect the ships of the Chinese Navy.
Photos have appeared online showing that since January, China has been actively testing a new intimidating-looking gun with 20 barrels. This is more than twice as much as similar systems of this type currently in use.
The PRC keeps the characteristics of the new development secret: even its approximate capabilities are unknown. It is also unclear at what stage the new complex is located.

In all likelihood, they want to use it to protect against air attacks by surface ships of the Chinese Navy, which is especially important in connection with the growing competition in the Asia-Pacific region between the United States and its allies on the one hand and China on the other.
