Military personnel of the special forces unit of the Pskov Guards Amphibious Assault Unit and the Center for Special Parachute Training of the Airborne Forces from Ryazan made jumps from a height of six thousand meters. They jumped in special oxygen equipment.
The paratroopers boarded an IL-76MD aircraft at the Kresty airfield in Pskov. They jumped from a given height at a speed of 360 kilometers per hour, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communication of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The fighters used kits for high-altitude landing "Junker-O". It consists of a special-purpose parachute system "Stayer" and Russian oxygen equipment "OXY Height".
20 skydivers participated in the jumps. The free fall time was just over a minute and a half, and the descent on the open canopy of the parachute was five minutes. The landing took place without incident.
