Recall that in February 2021, the State Corporation "Rosatom "signed a contract with JSC" 30th Ship Repair Plant "(Danube village, Primorsky Krai) [...] for the "Disposal of the heavy nuclear missile cruiser"Admiral Lazarev". The cost of the work is 5 billion rubles. The cruiser should be installed on the cutting slipway of the 30th ship repair plant by the end of August 2021, and in general, the disposal work should be completed by November 30, 2025.

The heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Frunze (factory number 801, renamed Admiral Lazarev in 1992 ) was the second ship in the Project 1144 series (type Kirov/ Admiral Ushakov) and was built at the Baltic Plant in Leningrad under the modified Project 11442, commissioned into the USSR Navy in 1984. In 1985, he made the transition to a permanent base in the Pacific Fleet. In fact, the ship did not go to sea since the early 1990s and later in the 1990s was mothballed and put to waste in Fokino.
