Artillery units of the Army Corps of the Baltic Fleet are working out tasks to destroy targets at the maximum distance with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the Kaliningrad region, when conducting shooting, the artillery of the BF use the Orlan UAV complexes. They are used to scout targets and transmit their coordinates in real time to artillery fire control points.
In addition to issuing target designations, UAV calculations record the deflection of projectiles and promptly correct the application of artillery strikes. As a result of the use of "Eagles", the accuracy of hitting specified objects at maximum distances is significantly increased.
As part of the beginning of the summer training period, the total duration of training of artillery units in shooting and fire control will be more than 1,500 training hours, a third of them will be held in the dark, the head of the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet, Captain 1st rank Roman Martov, told the Military-Industrial Courier.
