Information about the latest submarine is extremely scarce, it has never been shown to the general public. Apparently, this only fueled the imagination of the authors. The description of the image says that the submarine can become the "mother" (carrier) for the deep-sea ultra-small submarine "Losharik". It can also carry other underwater vehicles. The front part of the "Belgorod" is also adapted for launching the "Poseidon".
The report says that the Main Directorate of Deep-Sea Research of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has the largest fleet of hidden manned underwater vehicles in the world. It includes six nuclear-powered mini-submarines: two "Halibut" (730 tons), three " Sperm Whales "(1580 tons) and" Losharik " (2100 tons). They are supported by two large "mother" submarines that can deliver deep-sea vehicles unnoticed.
