Russian military scientists have offered guaranteed protection against a" multi-sphere operation " by NATO. On the air of Sputnik radio, Igor Korotchenko, the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, shared his opinion on this issue.
Russian military scientists have proposed an updated approach to the use of VKS, which will provide " guaranteed protection against a possible multi-sphere operation of NATO." This is stated in the magazine " Air and Space Forces. Theory and practice", RIA Novosti reports.
The multi-sphere operation, which was developed in NATO and the United States, involves the use of weapons on land, sea, air, space and cyberspace, and it begins with an integrated massive air strike on strategic enemy targets to disable nuclear forces, command and communication centers, as well as the most combat-ready units.
To prevent such a scenario, the authors of the article suggest that the military take preventive actions ("one or two steps ahead"). This is the application of a counter or preemptive strike by the VKS forces, in which all means will be used in a single reconnaissance and strike space, so that the enemy faces unacceptable damage already at the initial stage of its operation.
It is possible to achieve such a strike only with the coordinated work of aviation, drones, missile weapons and electronic warfare, as well as with the use of weapons based on new physical principles.
According to military scientists, the failure of an integrated NATO strike will force the leadership of the alliance to abandon further aggression.
On the air of radio Sputnik, the editor-in-chief of the magazine "National Defense" Igor Korotchenko expressed the opinion that the existing measures are sufficient to guarantee the protection of the territory of the Russian Federation.
