The Deputy Minister said that the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces with modern weapons and military equipment continues. In the fourth quarter, 11 stationary and mobile-based ballistic missiles, 22 components of mobile and stationary complexes were adopted.
Krivoruchko also said that in 2020, the rearmament of the 13th Missile Division of the Strategic Missile Forces continued with the latest Avangard strategic missile system.
In December 2020, from the Sea of Okhotsk from the board of the strategic nuclear submarine "Vladimir Monomakh", a multiple launch rocket "Bulava" was launched in the amount of four pieces. About these tests and their consequences for the United States previously wrote "The Newspaper.Ru». The armament and the carrier worked out normally, the launch tasks were fully completed. "The quality and reliability of the serial batches have been confirmed," the Deputy Minister said.
Space achievements
The recent launch of the Angara-A5 heavy launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome confirmed the possibility of launching a payload of up to 23 tons into low orbit.
Recall that the starting weight PH heavy class "Angara-A5" - 773 t, height 55,4 m, booster unit "Briz-M" or cvtc (oxygen-hydrogen heavy class), the payload mass on the reference orbit (N - 200 km) - roughly 24.5 tons
According to the Deputy Defense Minister, as part of the implementation of the 2020 launch program, the calculations of the Aerospace Forces in the fourth quarter of the Soyuz-2.1 b launch vehicles put into orbit the Glonass-K spacecraft and a block of three Gonets-M spacecraft.
Recall that the spacecraft "Gonets-M" is designed to ensure the functioning of a multifunctional personal satellite communication system (MSPSS). "Messenger" allows you to monitor any type of transport, as well as provide mobile personal communication, operational control and management, regardless of the location of the object.
"Zircon" is ready for serial deliveries
"Serial deliveries of hypersonic missiles "Zircon" will begin in 2022, " - said Deputy Defense Minister Alexey Krivoruchko. According to him, "simultaneously with the implementation of the current tasks of the state defense order, industrial enterprises, together with the military authorities, systematically carry out work on the development and practical testing of new and modernized models of weapons and military equipment."
About this missile, its tests and how it will change the nature of the armed confrontation, previously wrote "Газета.Ru".
"The Ministry of Defense pays special attention to the development and delivery of high - precision and hypersonic weapons," Krivoruchko said. For example, NPO Mashinostroyeniya JSC launched the world's first sea-based hypersonic cruise missiles, the Zircon, as part of flight design tests from the Admiral Gorshkov frigate.
"The positive results allow us to start the next stage of testing - conducting launches from underwater carriers, complete state tests in 2021 and start serial deliveries starting in 2022," the Deputy minister said.
The first batch of "Terminators»
According to the Deputy Minister, the Research and Production Corporation "Uralvagonzavod" has delivered the first batch of combat vehicles supporting the "Terminator" tanks, made on the chassis of the T-90A tank. PJSC "Plant" Tula "has completed the development work of "Bogomaz", within the framework of which a promising radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance vehicle RHM-9 was created with a completely new instrument base.
In detail about the characteristics of the "Terminator" and possible subsequent developments on the basis of this machine not so long ago reported "Газета.Ru".
"Yars-S" comes on duty
By the end of 2021, the fourth regiment of the Barnaul Division of the Strategic Missile Forces will take up combat duty on the Yars-S mobile ground missile system.
"The rearmament of the 35th Missile Division with the Yars-S mobile missile system continues. The division has been on combat duty as part of three missile regiments since December 2020. The next missile regiment equipped with the Yars-S mobile-based missile system will go on combat duty at the end of 2021. Thus, the rearmament of the compound will be completed in full, " said the commander of the compound, Major General Alexander Prokopenkov.
According to him, the reliability of the Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles that entered service in 2020, which were put on combat duty, was confirmed by the successful combat training launch of a control and serial missile during the training of the strategic nuclear forces on December 9, 2020.
Recall that the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was developed on the basis of the RS-12M2 Topol-M missile. The missile has a maximum range of 11-12 thousand kilometers and with a launch mass of about 47 tons can carry warheads weighing 1.3 tons with three or four warheads with a charge capacity of up to 300 kilotons.
There is reason to believe that the upgraded strategic missile system "Yars-S" has more powerful warheads compared to the original version of this system.
