In the Kaliningrad region, on the eve of the Day of the Engineering Troops, engineers of the Baltic Fleet conducted large-scale exercises.
At the beginning of the maneuvers, a crossing was made using a pontoon-bridge park. Then the servicemen of the engineering regiment of the BF conducted a reconnaissance of the routes of the advance of military equipment and personnel for the presence of explosive objects. At the same time, mine detectors "Korshun" and protective suits of the sapper "Sokol"were involved.
Mine-clearing teams with the help of mine-search dogs worked out the detection and neutralization of anti-tank mines, surprise mines, improvised explosive devices and camouflaged tripwires. In turn, the engineering patrols repelled the attack of the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the imaginary enemy.
In addition, when performing tasks, military engineers used the Cobra-1600 robot to conduct reconnaissance, search and initial study of potentially dangerous objects. The robot is equipped with a set of video cameras and a manipulator-a retractable boom with a grip that allows you to lift and move loads weighing up to 25 kilograms.
At the end of the exercise, the mobile integrated water treatment station SKO-10 "Hygiene" and the mobile engineering power plant ED-30 AI were deployed, the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet told the Military-Industrial Courier.
