The Russian Navy included the corvette "Gremyashchy" — the first ship of the project 20385. In the future, it is planned to arm it with hypersonic missiles.
The acceptance of the first corvette of the project 20385 into the fleet was reported by RIA Novosti. The ceremony of raising the St. Andrew's flag was held in St. Petersburg. "Today is a significant event for the Navy. On the eve of the New Year, a new ship, completely unique in its technical characteristics. < ... > The corvette developed by the Almaz Central Design Bureau is a further development of the 20380 project, " Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Evmenov said on this occasion.
Very soon, the ship should be relocated to the place of its permanent service — to the Pacific Fleet. In the future, it will receive six more such corvettes.

The main difference from the older ship is the replacement of anti-ship missiles "Uranus" on the universal ship firing system 3S14 (UKSK), which can use cruise missiles " Caliber "and anti-ship"Onyx". In addition, in the foreseeable future, it can be routinely used to launch the latest hypersonic missile "Zircon".
Now it is actively tested. One of the tests was carried out recently: the product was launched from the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov". The missile was able to hit a target located at the test site, at a distance of more than 350 kilometers from the launch site. The flight speed of the "Zircon" was higher than M=8.
The Russian Defense Ministry presented footage of the launch, in which the new missile can be viewed from an extremely close distance.

According to some reports, the "Zircon" can hit a target located at a distance of up to 1000 kilometers from the launch site. The mass of the missile's warhead, according to observers, is about 400 kilograms. Thus, a single missile hit will be enough to disable almost any warship, including an aircraft carrier.
It is assumed that among the main carriers of the "Zircon" will be frigates of Project 22350, which includes the above-mentioned "Admiral Gorshkov".
Recall that one of the most important events for the Russian shipbuilding industry this year was the transfer of the second such frigate - the ship "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov". No less significant event was the laying of two universal landing ships of the project 23900 in Kerch. The first of them should join the fleet in 2026.
