Moscow. December 7. INTERFAX-the Forms of use of Missile troops and artillery (Rvia) will undergo significant changes in the course of large-scale re-equipment to the Iskander-M, Coalition-SV, Tornado-S complexes, and other modern weapons systems, said the former commander of the Rvia, Colonel-General Vladimir Zaritsky.
"Today, the troops receive the most modern weapons EN masse. This includes the Iskander-M operational and tactical missile system, the Coalition-SV automated artillery system, and the MSTA-SM self-propelled gun with Ring automated fire control systems, which provides integration into a single tactical control system, "Zaritsky told Interfax on Monday.
He also noted that by 2027, the Armed forces of the Russian Federation plan to completely complete the replacement of multiple launch rocket systems "Grad", "Hurricane", "Smerch" with a high-precision complex "Tornado-S", capable of hitting the enemy at significant ranges.
"All this will significantly affect the forms and methods of use of this type of troops of the Russian army," the source said.
Zaritsky took part in the solemn ceremony of awarding the public award named after a prominent military commander-front-line soldier Marshal of artillery Vladimir Mikhalkin "for excellent studies" established by the National Association of reserve officers of the Armed forces (Megapir) to students and cadets of the Mikhailovsky military artillery Academy.
According to Zaritsky, the large-scale re-equipment of the Rvia sets the task for the military education system "to train specialist officers who will manage intelligent robots and robotic systems for destruction, reconnaissance and support of rocket and artillery weapons created on the basis of nanotechnology and microelectronics."
"Today, the Academy, which was founded 200 years ago-on December 7, 1820, has an innovative system of training and education of personnel, a strong scientific base and highly qualified teaching staff. The University has 44 doctors and 295 candidates of science, 17 active members and 21 corresponding members of various academies, seven honored scientists and seven honored workers of higher education of the Russian Federation. This allows us to organize the educational process at the most modern level, " said Zaritsky, who is the Chairman of the Board of the Association "Megapir".
In turn, a member of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation Alexander Kanshin said: "the Main thing in the public award named after an outstanding military figure is that the future officer's diligence in mastering the military profession and his commitment to the best traditions of the Russian officer corps is seen and highly appreciated by society."
