Moscow. November 20. INTERFAX - the crews of fighters and bombers of the naval aviation and air defense of the black sea fleet (BSF) checked the air defense system of the Crimean Peninsula.
"In total, four aircraft were involved in the inspection, as well as the s-400 Triumph air defense system and the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems from the southern military district air force and air defense Association, "the black sea fleet said in a statement on Friday.
The training was held in the framework of checking the readiness of the duty forces and means of air defense of the Crimean Peninsula air defense system.
"The crews of su-30SM multi-purpose fighters and su-24M front-line bombers from the black sea fleet served as control targets for air defense calculations and operated from different directions. During the test, the aircraft performed the task as a maximum distance from the detection radar stations and altitudes using to cover the terrain, which complicated the task forces and air defense", - informs the headquarters of the BSF.
According to him, the combat crews of the s-400 air defense systems "successfully coped with the combat training task", detecting and carrying out electronic launches on control targets.
Over the past few years, the military Department has significantly strengthened the group in Crimea, including through the s-400 long-range anti-aircraft missile systems (Almaz-Antey concern of East Kazakhstan region).
In November 2018, the fourth Division of the s-400 "Triumph"took up combat duty in Dzhankoy in the North of Crimea. Dzhankoy is located about 30 km from the border with Ukraine. Earlier, the Russian military put three S-400 divisions on combat duty in Crimea: in January 2017 in Feodosia, in January 2018 in Sevastopol and in September 2018 in Yevpatoria.
The Russian defense Ministry said that a group has been created in Crimea that is able to provide protection from all threats.
The defense of Crimea is provided by ships of the Russian black sea fleet, naval aviation and air defense aircraft. An army corps has been created in Crimea, which includes coastal defense, intelligence, artillery units, air defense units, engineering and logistics support units, RCB protection units, communications units, and others. The Russian military in Crimea has advanced anti-ship coastal missile systems "Bal"and " Bastion".
