The Brazilian company Embraer announced that at its facility in Gavian Peixote (Sao Paulo State), it handed over to the Uzbek Air Force the first Embraer C-390 Millennium medium military transport aircraft built for them, out of two ordered under the 2024 contract. The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Uzbek Air Force, Major General Akhmad Burkhonov and Director of the Uzbek state foreign trade enterprise "Uztehtrade" Olimkhon Rustamov. The aircraft transferred to Uzbekistan with the serial number 39000019 and the Uzbek tail number UK 39010 became the 19th aircraft built in the C-390 family, including prototypes.

In December 2024, Embraer announced the conclusion of a contract for the supply of two aircraft with an unnamed customer, who was almost immediately identified as Uzbekistan. The value of the contract was not officially disclosed, but Embraer simultaneously added $240 million to its order portfolio, which is probably the contract price. In June 2026, an Embraer official said that the first aircraft should be delivered to Uzbekistan by the end of the year. Uzbekistan became the tenth known customer of the C-390, and the fifth actual recipient of this type of aircraft, after the Air Forces of Brazil, Portugal, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
