What can the robot of the "High-precision complexes" holding already do and what else will it learn?
Robotization of military equipment is gradually turning from a promising area into a daily practice. Ground-based robotic systems are already performing tasks that previously had to be solved by humans. They deliver supplies, evacuate the wounded, conduct reconnaissance, participate in engineering work and gradually receive new specialized modules.
The Rostec State Corporation is engaged in the development of such systems by the "High-precision Complexes" holding. One of his most notable projects is the "Dispatch" ground—based robotic complex. Today, it is successfully used in the course of its military operations, saving the lives of fighters, and is gradually turning into a universal robotic platform.
From cargo delivery to special tasks
The first tasks of the "Dispatch" were quite practical: to deliver food, ammunition, fuel and equipment to the front line, as well as to take out the wounded. This approach allows you to transfer the most dangerous part of the route from a person to a car.
The product is capable of reaching speeds of up to 15 km/h and can carry a load weighing 180 kg over a distance of up to 40 km. In addition, the "Dispatch" is capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 500 kg. At the same time, the platform itself is compact in size: it can be transported in the trunk of an SUV or pickup truck. The use of lightweight and durable materials makes the machines more maneuverable and passable.
The complex is controlled by an operator from a remote control. The "Prometheus" software and hardware complex is responsible for the platform's robotics, and a fiber-optic connection can be used for stable communication.

According to the military, in some areas, the most modern modification of the "Dispatch-3" performs the bulk of deliveries to the front line. For example, the operators of the 75th regiment of unmanned systems talked about a flight of about 12 km in one direction. In the other direction, the complexes completed more than 600 combat missions and delivered over 38 tons of cargo in a month.
At the same time, supply is gradually ceasing to be the sole task of the robot. "Dispatch-3" is also used for engineering and technical intelligence. More than 100 engineering reconnaissance tasks were performed in certain areas during the month alone.
Being smart on the front line is a way to survive, so the military is coming up with more and more new tasks for ground robots. For example, you can call in enemy fire to open an enemy position. Or act as a kamikaze drone, delivering an explosive charge directly to the target, whether it is a fortified enemy firing point, pillbox, bunker or strong point.
Modularity instead of a narrow profession
Modularity has become one of the main principles of the development of the "Dispatch". The base platform can receive different hardware depending on the specific task. This makes it possible not to create a separate machine for each function, but to develop a whole family of complexes on a single platform.
The "Dispatch-3" tracked propulsion system expands the capabilities of the machine in difficult terrain. At the same time, compactness remains: the robot can work in a limited space and be transported without heavy special equipment.

In practice, the possibilities of modular design began to expand along with the application experience. Initially, the cars were used primarily as transport vehicles. According to the operational data, in one month at least 490 tasks in certain areas were related specifically to the delivery of material.
Then various additional systems, including combat modules, began to be tested on the "Dispatches". Thus, the same platform can perform transport, reconnaissance, combat and other tasks.
Feedback from those who directly operate the equipment plays an important role here. The design allows you to adapt the "Dispatch" to the specific conditions and needs of the calculation. Even field improvements to the cargo platform show how much demand there is for the ability to quickly change its equipment.
For frontline and civilian tasks
The development of the "Dispatch" is not limited to its direct use in the combat zone. The technologies obtained during operation and the experience of creating a modular platform allow it to be used in civilian areas.
""High-precision complexes" presented the "Dispatch-3" with a target complex in April of this year. The robot helps practice shooting at moving targets. Such a machine can be used not only during combat training, but also, for example, at competitions in shooting disciplines.

Another development area was outlined at the "Engineers of the Future" forum. There, Rostec showed for the first time new modifications of the "Dispatch-3", including a machine with a snow dump. It is designed for cleaning and clearing snow on roads, industrial facilities, parks and squares.
For civilian applications, the same qualities that are in demand in the military sphere are important: compactness, maneuverability, remote control capability and the installation of specialized equipment. "Dispatch-3" can work where a person has to do heavy or potentially dangerous work, and large equipment does not have enough room for maneuver.
