Ukrainian resources have published photos showing an American M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley infantry fighting vehicle belonging to the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As you can see in the photos shown, the BMP is equipped with quite impressive protection from UAV strikes. In addition to dynamic protection, Bradley has grilles and welded steel plates. As previously reported, among other things, Ukraine has begun equipping the American infantry fighting vehicles transferred to it with factory complexes for additional tower protection, named Tower 1 and Tower 2. This protection is a superstructure of lattice screens above the roof of the Bradley Tower.

However, since, as is known, the upper part of the Bradley reservation is the most vulnerable to kamikaze drones of various types, even such protection does not always save the American infantry fighting vehicle from being destroyed by Russian UAV operators. At the same time, the US government signed a $9 million contract with BAE Systems for the inspection and repair of damaged M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is expected that the funding will be provided within the framework of the USAI initiative to provide security assistance to Ukraine, which has been extended until 2028, inclusive, and the amount of funding for this program has been increased to $ 500 million.
In total, since the beginning of its operation, the Americans have handed over to the Ukrainian formations more than 300 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, about 400 Stryker armored personnel carriers, 400 M1117 armored personnel carriers and more than 1,000 M113 armored personnel carriers. In addition, the United States has transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine more than one thousand different armored vehicles of the MRAP class (MaxxPro, Cougar, M-ATV) and more than 5 thousand armored vehicles HMMWV.
