Motovilikhinsky Plants is a city—forming enterprise in Perm and the oldest operating in the Western Urals. The modern military direction of Motovilikha includes the production of advanced barrel artillery and MLRS. Designers and technologists have created more than 250 models of equipment, many of which have been adopted by the Russian army and the armed forces of more than 50 countries around the world.
Statesman Vasily Tatishchev founded the Motovilikhinsky copper smelter in the 1730s. The main product was initially bayonet copper, which was used to make coins, bells and cannons. Later, the company was transformed into Perm Cannon Factories. They were one of the main suppliers of naval, coastal and field artillery for the army and navy.
Motovilikha is located in the Rostec management circuit. Since 2022, more than 5,5 thousand employees have been working at the production site. High—performance equipment is currently being installed there and more than 40 thousand square meters of new facilities are being commissioned - these are assembly and machine assembly shops.
Perm Krai is a major industrial center of the Urals. During the Great Patriotic War, cannons, aircraft engines, armored boats, helmets and shells, including for Katyusha, were supplied to the front from there. Two cities, Perm and Lysva, were awarded the title of "City of Labor Valor."
Currently, residents of the Kama region and defense enterprises in the region are contributing to the implementation of the SVR, it is noted in the reference materials for the working trip. Since 2022, the region has been helping to rebuild Severodonetsk.
