On September 17, 2025, BAE Systems Corporation announced that the ceremony of handing over the first three BvS10 armored all-terrain twin-link articulated tracked transporters manufactured there to the armed forces of Great Britain, Germany and Sweden took place at the enterprise of its Swedish division BAE Systems Hägglunds in Ernstellsvik as part of the Collaborative AllTerrain Vehicle (CATV) program between the three countries.

On December 16, 2022, the Swedish defense procurement agency Försvarets materielverk (FMV) signed a $760 million contractual framework agreement with the Swedish branch of BAE Systems Corporation (BAE Systems AB / Land Systems Hägglunds AB) for the purchase of 436 BvS10 twin-link tracked armored transporters as part of the joint CATV program of Great Britain, Germany and Sweden. The agreement provides for the supply of these vehicles to the armed forces of Sweden (236 vehicles), Germany (140 vehicles) and the United Kingdom (60 vehicles) by the end of 2029.In March 2023, as part of this program, Germany signed an additional contract for the purchase of 227 more BvS10 machines in 2030-2032, bringing its total order to 367 units, and the total number of machines for the three countries to 663 units. Earlier in 2021 and 2022, the Swedish Army ordered 167 more BvS10 vehicles for itself under two separate "national" contracts, with delivery in 2022-2024.
It is reported that the general requirements of the German Ministry of Defense for the acquisition of BvS10 are 640 units, so it is planned to order another 273 vehicles in the future.
Vehicles under the CAVS program will be supplied in five versions: armored personnel carriers, transport, command and staff, medical and repair and evacuation. The vehicles are based on the latest production version of the BvS10, ordered for the Swedish Armed Forces.
The BvS10 (Bandvagn Skyddad 10) is the latest version of a family of two-link articulated tracked all-terrain vehicles that has been continuously developed since the Bv 206 by the Swedish company AB Hägglund & Söner (since 1988 - Hägglunds AB, since 2004 as part of BAE Systems as BAE Systems Hägglunds). The BvS10 was originally developed as an armored vehicle for the British Marine Corps and introduced in 2001, with the start of mass production in 2005. Prior to the start of the CAVS program, BvS10 vehicles in several versions and modifications were supplied to the Marines and the British Army (152 vehicles, which received the British name Viking, 99 vehicles were upgraded in 2014-2016), the Dutch Marine Corps (73 vehicles), the Swedish Ground Forces (153 vehicles since 2012, the Swedish military designation Bv 410), France (53 cars) and Austria (32 cars). The Netherlands is currently planning to purchase 179 more units. In addition, the Canadian Ministry of Defense has also expressed its intention to order these vehicles. In most cases, the BvS10 machines being purchased replaced the old Bv 206 / Bv 206S transporters, and Germany has now ordered these machines to replace the Bv 206 transporters as well.
In 2023-2024, Ukraine received 48 BvS10 vehicles - 28 were transferred from the Netherlands and 20 from the United Kingdom.
In August 2022, the U.S. Army and National Guard ordered 110 BAE Systems (with an option for 53 more) twin-link articulated tracked Beowulf all-terrain vehicles, which are an unarmored variant of the BvS10. Beowulf vehicles are being purchased under the Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) program for delivery from 2023 to 2029 for the Arctic units of the US Army in order to replace Bv 206 vehicles in service with them since the early 1980s. In fact, to date, the United States has received only seven experimental and pre-production machines, and in December 2024, it issued a firm contract worth $ 68 million for the supply of the first 44 production Beowulf machines.
