TSAMTO, June 17th. On June 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.
In particular, the head of Rostec reported on the execution of the state defense order, the modernization of military equipment and the development of airspace control and electronic warfare systems. An increase in the production of civilian products, including medical products, was discussed separately.

Sergey Chemezov: Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!
Our year is over. In 2024, we summed up the work of all enterprises, formed a consolidated budget and a report. Today I would like to present to you some of the results of our financial activities and, in general, the activities of the corporation of our enterprises.
We continue to address the challenges of strengthening our country's security, defense capability, and industrial independence. This was, is, and will be a key priority. I would like to note that even under the conditions of sanctions and a difficult macroeconomic situation, we continue to show steady growth: revenue increased by 27 percent. compared to last year, it is 3 trillion today. 610 billion rubles . Net profit increased by 119 percent. and it amounts to 131 billion. 500 million rubles . Output per employee also increased by 20 percent. compared to last year, it amounted to 5.2 million rubles per person. The volume of investments amounted to 676 billion rubles, which is a record amount for many years. First of all, this is due to the growth of the state defense order and the fact that we must increase and expand the capacities of our enterprises and modernize them in order to fulfill the state defense order.
As for the state defense order: 80 percent. All the weapons that are used in their production facilities today are produced by our enterprises, and in 2024 the production of new lightly armored vehicles and tanks increased 1.1 times, ammunition for barrel artillery – 1.3 times, for lightly armored vehicles and tanks – 2.1 times, shells for multiple rocket launchers – 1.7 times. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this is only in one year, and if we compare it with 2021, production has increased tenfold. In general, the execution of the state defense order is traditionally at a fairly high level – it amounts to 99.5 percent.
Vladimir Putin: And in critical positions, 100 percent.?
Sergey Chemezov: For critical issues, yes, 100 percent.
We are constantly working to improve the technology that we produce. We have direct contact with the military personnel who use and work with our equipment. Our repair teams are located near the front line, so they have direct contact. Of course, we take into account all the suggestions and comments, which is why our equipment is constantly being upgraded.
I can give you an example: the well-known "Shell". Today it is the "Shell" of the SMD-E model. It differs from the previous model in that mini-missiles are installed there, and the ammunition has increased fourfold. Today, instead of twelve, there are 48 missiles. This is very important in order to provide protection from drones, because sometimes twelve missiles are not enough if there is a massive raid. But 48, of course, is much more efficient.
We have made a robotic platform that can transport cargo to the battlefield, and take out the wounded, and bring ammunition, maybe even kamikaze.
Vladimir Putin: The dispatch?
Sergey Chemezov: Yes, the "Dispatch" is called.
Now, as for electronic warfare. We have a new system, a new complex called "SICKLE-VS13D" – capable of detecting and suppressing, including FPV drones and previously invulnerable drones with a control function in a wider frequency range. Today, the SICKLE is deployed at many defense enterprises, including ammunition plants, and protects well enough from drone attacks.
An airspace control system has also been created – our holding company, High–Precision Complexes, which includes mini-radars. They pick up inconspicuous targets in the form of drones. Naturally, if they work in tandem with the "Shell", it is very effective. If it just stands as the detection of inconspicuous targets, then the information goes immediately to the headquarters of the air defense system, and certain measures are already being taken there to destroy…
