Earlier, Belarus had already received eight fighters of the previous Su-30SM modification, also newly built and equipped. The aircraft are being delivered in accordance with the agreement signed in June 2017 by the Belarusian and Russian sides on the supply of 12 Su-30SM fighters to the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus. The final outline of the agreement was agreed upon during the 9th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment MILEX-2019, held in Minsk in May 2019, at the same time the first contract for the supply of the first four Su-30SM aircraft was signed. At the same time, the delivery of all 12 aircraft to the Belarusian side was initially expected within three years.
The first four Su-30SM fighters (aircraft with red tail numbers from "01" to "04", factory numbers from 10MK5 1607 to 10MK5 1610, respectively) were delivered to Baranovichi on November 13 and 20, 2019. The contract for the supply of the next four aircraft was formalized in February 2021 with delivery plans for October 2022, but in fact the delivery of these four Su-30SM (red tail numbers from "05" to "08") was made without much publicity in 2024. The contract for the supply of four aircraft, already in a modified version of the Su-30SM2, was apparently concluded in early 2024, and now the first two aircraft have been delivered (red tail numbers "09" and "10"). According to the statement made at the ceremony of their receipt by the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense forces of Belarus, Major General Andrei Lukyanovich, the remaining two Su-30SM2 fighters will arrive in Belarus "this year."
Russia, despite participating in a special military operation in Ukraine, continues to manufacture and export Su-30 series fighters, in particular, six Su-30SM fighters were delivered to Kazakhstan in 2024. Myanmar received a total of four Su-30SME fighters in 2023 and 2024.,
