North Korean television showed the construction of a 3,000-ton frigate. This is the largest ship that was built on its own, twice the size of the Amlok-class frigates (1,500 tons).
As Western observers suggest, the new ship will be the first pennant of the North Korean navy equipped with vertical launchers that allow the use of modern anti-ship missiles or even long-range ballistic missiles.
