After ten years of testing and short-term storage, a demonstration sample of the Neuron attack drone developed by Dassault Aviation is ready to return to service.
As indicated in the Challenges publication, the Ministry of Defense is resuming the development of the UAV, intending to use it to work together with the Rafale fighter in the F5 configuration, which is planned to be deployed by 2033.

Neuron, built according to the "flying wing" scheme, was created with the participation of 6 countries: France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Greece and Switzerland. Between 2012 and 2022, the demonstrator performed 170 test flights, which, according to the developer, confirmed the effectiveness of innovative technologies, including improved stealth functions, controlled autonomy and integration into a common command structure.
