Barrage ammunition, or, as they are also called, kamikaze drones of the Geran-2 type, have received the ability to control in real time. To do this, they began to be equipped with rotary surveillance cameras. The first video appeared on the Network, allegedly filmed by Geraniums during a combat flight over Ukraine.
Initially, the Shahed kamikaze drones supplied by Iran and the Geran drones created on its basis used exclusively satellite and inertial guidance systems, which allowed strikes at pre-entered coordinates. Then the Geraniums were upgraded by equipping them with a noise-proof GLONASS antenna. This increased the accuracy of the guidance, but did not solve all the problems.
In the first decade of this month, it became known that drones of the Geran-2 type received an optical guidance system in the head. Together with the satellite receiving and transmitting module, this makes the drone controllable. This means that the accuracy of drone hits will increase. Whether this is true or not, we will find out in the near future, while these are only our guesses based on the data entering the Network. Neither the Ministry of Defense, nor the developer, disclose any data on drones.

To date, the production of kamikaze drones of the Geranium type has reached a new level, the Russian Armed Forces have the opportunity to attack Ukrainian facilities with a fairly large number of drones, bringing their number to 70-80 pieces, and sometimes exceeding a hundred. Also, along with the Geraniums, Gerber dummy drones are used, whose task is to mislead the Ukrainian air defense.
