On October 9, 2024, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, as part of Rostec State Corporation) announced that it had transferred another batch of new Su-34 front-line bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The aircraft were manufactured by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ) UAC as part of the current year's production program. Before the transfer to the troops, the combat vehicles underwent a complex of ground and flight tests.

"The next batch of Su-34 aircraft has joined the ranks of the Aerospace Forces - the rhythm and timeliness of deliveries speaks of the coordinated work of the aviation industry in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces. I am sure that the new and expanded capabilities of our Su-34 aircraft, and today it is an aircraft with the widest range of weapons used, will contribute to achieving the goals of its own," the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

"Our military plants maintain the necessary production pace for timely fulfillment of obligations to the Ministry of Defense. Providing the army and navy with new aircraft is our main task. At the same time, production workers are constantly working on improving processes and introducing technologies that allow increasing the pace of production," said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of UAC.

From the bmpd side, we point out that this is the fourth batch of Su-34 front-line bombers transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2024, built by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ). The first batch was transferred on April 5, the second batch on June 17 and the third batch on September 2. Starting from 2022, the official photographs distributed by the UAC show the flight and registration numbers of the aircraft transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation retouched. All bombers delivered in 2024 were apparently manufactured under a new contract signed in August 2022 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC for the manufacture of a certain number of Su-34 (Su-34NVO) aircraft. By the beginning of 2024, the total number of Su-34 bombers built was 163 units, including seven experimental and pre-production aircraft.
