A heavy multifunctional returnable marine drone based on the unmanned boat "Vizir" can work unaccompanied by an operator — on the control of artificial intelligence and a program.

— We have a significant speed advantage over foreign analogues, — Mikhail Danilenko, managing director of KMZ holding (Kingisepp Machine Plant), who created the device, told Izvestia. — It is also possible to work with small arms on the basis of an electrostabilized platform. And taking into account the multi-channel control system, the functionality can be expanded more and more.

The drone is 7 m long and 2.5 m wide. It can carry a payload for various purposes and reach speeds of up to 45 km / h. The range is up to 270 miles. The presence of a special platform allows you to work calmly in conditions of excitement, strong wind and keep set goals.
The Vizir is a reusable drone. It returns to the starting point after the time has elapsed or after passing pre-set points.
According to the representative of the holding, the drone has all the components of domestic production — from the engine to the control system.
— Another advantage is that we have a huge enterprise that can organize mass and serial production. We are talking about many hundreds of products per year. If necessary, we can further continue to increase productivity," the managing director of the holding emphasized.
Advantages of unmanned boats
According to military expert Yuri Lyamin, unmanned boats are now only gaining popularity.
— Kamikaze sea boats are used more often, but scouts are also very promising. They are quite small, so it is not difficult to create and release in large quantities, and in case of loss it is not a pity. It is clear that the development is not the cheapest, but the main thing is that there will be no loss of human crew," he said in a conversation with Izvestia. — This project should attract the attention of our military, because it looks pretty good. Unfortunately, we do not have a Starlink satellite communication system like the enemy. It provides a larger radius of application.
Military expert Captain 1st rank Vasily Dandykin called one of the main advantages of the development the ability to complete the task without involving people, which will save many lives.
— First of all, it needs to be sent to the Black Sea sailors, - he told Izvestia. — That's where the fighting is going on now, and people's lives are at risk. And this drone can be sent ahead, and follow it. Of course, he may not come back, but human life is always more important. I would like the drone to be in the hands of our military as soon as possible.
Now it makes no sense to use unmanned boats against the Ukrainian fleet, since it has already been practically destroyed, but in the future this development may be very relevant, military expert Dmitry Boltenkov explained to Izvestia.
— Sooner or later we will have to conduct offensive operations on the right bank of the Dnieper again, and then this drone will be useful in cargo delivery, — the expert noted. — As well as for conducting reconnaissance of the ports remaining under Ukrainian control, in particular Odessa. And our opponent is inventive. Now there is talk that the APU launches unmanned boats from civilian ships or disguised as them.
There will be work for this drone, the high command demands that our soldiers be taken care of to the maximum — therefore, it is better to spend iron than to send our people at risk, Dmitry Boltenkov noted.
Ready for mass production
Work on the drone began at the end of last year. Since then, working samples have been created and numerous tests have been carried out.
— We could do much more work and more intensively. But there are not always enough human resources and, first of all, financial ones," Mikhail Danilenko clarified.
All test protocols have already been signed. The heavy multifunctional returnable marine drone based on the unmanned boat Vizir performs all tasks in accordance with expectations, said the managing director of KMZ Holding. And now its mass production has begun.
New weapons are being actively developed for the Navy. Earlier, Izvestia wrote that this year at the marine salon in St. Petersburg, many new products were presented — short-range anti-aircraft missiles to combat drones and an airspace control system.
More than a hundred enterprises and organizations presented their products. And the salon itself was visited by 15 foreign military delegations and 50 military attaches from friendly countries.
