Units protecting important facilities will have the opportunity to see the situation from different devices in real time on the same screen

A software and hardware complex "Stupor" has been created in Russia, which allows real-time monitoring of the air situation around the protected object. At the same time, the complex allows you to bring together information from various peripheral devices. It can be used both at civilian facilities and in the combat zone. According to the developers, a "Stupor" was recently installed at two neighboring enterprises, which made it possible to organize the exchange of information about approaching threats and expand the coverage area of the system. "Stupor" expands the boundaries

In Russia, the Antidron system was deployed at once at two neighboring enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. As Izvestia found out, the Stupor hardware and software complex combined the installed means of detecting and countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which increased the protection zone and allowed the exchange of important information about events in the airspace.

The complex allows you to receive real-time information about the appearance of UAVs. A "friend–foe" database has been created to identify drones. All events are recorded and archived. Monitoring is carried out continuously, and in the event of a power outage, backup power supplies are provided. Thanks to the developed scenario, in automatic mode, the complex independently, without the participation of the operator, makes a decision to turn on the means of suppressing the control channels of the drone. There is also a manual mode when the operator independently controls the system.

The Stupor pack combines radar, radio frequency, optical and acoustic UAV detection stations. This way we get the opportunity to see the real situation from different devices on the same screen," said Vladislav Kustarev, Director of Development at Stupor LLC. The hardware and software complex of special technical means of countering MENA (PAK STSP MENA) can be installed both in paramilitary units and is capable of combining various devices from other manufacturers, as well as at civilian facilities of the fuel and energy complex, agro-industrial enterprises and in nuclear energy.

The main advantage of the complex is the availability of artificial intelligence and flexible configuration for any requirements. Development began back in 2021. To date, the Stupor PACK is mass-produced. In addition to stationary Antidron systems, a huge number of requests are now for automotive jamming systems, Vladislav Kustarev notes.

Easy work

As military expert Yuri Lyamin explained to Izvestia, such a development is needed for the reason that different detection systems are located on large objects around and bringing information from them together will make it easier for operators.

— In large air defense systems, in particular anti-aircraft missile systems, everything is automatically transformed into a single information, and in the case of civilian objects, everything is broken down into parts, — he said. — Especially in the semi-blind mode are the calculations responsible for the destruction. The machine gunners don't have their own radars. They need to almost manually show where the target is located. And if they have such a complex, they can just look at the screen and see from which direction the target is approaching, the distance, etc., that is, they will immediately have information from the detection systems.


Combining information from various intelligence tools (radars, radar, acoustic sensors, optical reconnaissance, drones) in a single system is extremely necessary to increase the accuracy of object localization, increase the probability of detection and the accuracy of their recognition. This was told to Izvestia by a source at the MIPT Physics and Technology School of Radio Engineering and Computer Technology.

— Moreover, such REM tools as direction finders, by their principle of operation, require measuring the direction to the signal source from several points. It is also necessary to synchronize the operation of air defense, electronic warfare and other means of suppressing UAVs with friendly UAV calculations and manned aircraft. Otherwise, there are losses from friendly fire or the inability to use manned and unmanned aircraft due to uncoordinated work of electronic warfare and air defense, - summed up the interlocutor of the publication.

Protective dome

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that Russia had created a dome-type electronic warfare system "Umbrella", which is capable of jamming enemy FPV drones within a radius of up to 500 m.

The development is mainly focused on protecting equipment from FPV drones. It can be used both in transport and in stationary facilities.

— At the moment, none of the FPV drones used during the tests could fly up to the Umbrella, - the chief designer of the Eliars product told Izvestia about this. — Depending on which UAV it is, the picture or control channel is lost, and sometimes both. We tested the "Umbrella" with the fighters in Donetsk, simulating the situation, took a three-liter bottle of water, loaded it onto an FPV drone and tried to drop it on the car. As a result, none of the drones we used could complete the task.

The development turned out to be overall, its weight is about 20 kg. The operation is carried out in the frequency ranges from 0.4 to 5.8 GHz.
