The shipbuilding industry presented deep-sea vehicles and the first domestic jet skis
A number of marine novelties were presented at the Army-2024 forum, most of which were on the stand of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. Among the samples are a new corvette design, a mock—up of an autonomous deep-sea vehicle, an uninhabited underwater station and others. About new developments of shipbuilders for the Russian Navy — in the material of Izvestia.
The new corvette
Of great interest is the corvette model based on the small rocket ship project 22800 "Karakurt". Due to the change in the composition of the propulsion system on the ship, the volumes that were used for the placement of anti-submarine weapons were released. It also houses a hydroacoustic complex with anchored and towed antennas and a small-sized anti-submarine complex "Paket-NK".

The rest of the armament remained unchanged and includes the 76.2 mm AK-176MA cannon, eight cruise missile launchers and the Pantsir-ME anti-aircraft missile and artillery complex. There is also a landing place on the ship to accommodate a container with different types of fillings. At the same time, the change in the composition of the propulsion system reduced the full speed of the ship from 32 knots to 26.
It turned out to be an extremely interesting representative of the Navy, which can replace the aging small anti-submarine ships of projects 1124M and 1331. Such a corvette can solve a wide range of tasks in the coastal zone, in particular, to ensure the deployment of nuclear submarines and large warships in the waters of the Barents and Bering Seas.
Deep-sea vehicle "Sergey Bavilin"

The St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau "Malachite" presented a mock-up of the autonomous deep-sea vehicle (AGA) project 18200 "Sergey Bavilin" laid down on March 27, 2024 and disclosed some of its technical data. So, the AGA has dimensions of 9.9x4x4.3 m, the weight of the ready-to-dive device is 53 tons, and the crew consists of three people. The key parameter of the AGA — the depth of its immersion — is not disclosed. However, based on information previously published in the media, it can be assumed that it is designed to dive anywhere in the world ocean without restrictions, that is, more than 11 thousand meters. Currently used in the Russian Navy AGA "Rus" and "Consul" have a mass of 26 tons and a diving depth of 6.5 thousand meters. Extremely I wonder which ship will act as the carrier of the Sergei Bavilin spacecraft. The existing and currently under construction oceanographic research vessels "Yantar", "Almaz" and "Vice Admiral Burilichev" bathyscaphe will not be able to carry such a mass. In addition, the carrier should have a roll compensation system for the ship when launching such a heavy vehicle.
Underwater vehicles Argus-D and Octavis
The Central Design Bureau of Marine Technology Rubin presented the Argus-D heavy ANPA being created, where D means "Deliverer". And also the uninhabited underwater station Octavis. Argus-D has a modular structure. The load compartment has three seats to accommodate a payload of up to 200 kilograms, for example, bottom seismic stations, sensors for collecting environmental parameters, and so on. The device has the following characteristics: diving depth up to 3 thousand m; dimensions 8.9x1x1.25 m, weight 5.5 thousand kg, speed up to 3 knots, autonomy up to 20 hours. A lithium-ion battery is used as an energy source.

An Octavis underwater station is being created to charge the Argus-D ANPS, remove accumulated information from them, load new tasks into them, as well as to park the vehicles between missions. It can receive up to three Argus-D devices, be anchored or on the ground with a depth of up to 1 thousand m. Octavis can receive electricity from the shore, from offshore platforms, as well as from devices that convert ocean energy. Such a bundle as Argus-D and Octavis is extremely necessary in the study of the oceans for economic and military purposes.
The first domestic jet skis

Avangard JSC presented the first domestic fully import-independent Avangard jet ski made of fiberglass. Previously, jet skis were not produced in Russia, but were bought abroad, which became problematic after February 2022. At the same time, there is a demand for such vehicles both among the civilian population and military structures. In the conditions of hostilities in the Dnieper delta, among the islands of the Kherson region and in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, such devices will be extremely needed by the Russian marines and special forces for the rapid delivery of fighters and cargo to enemy territory. The jet ski has a speed of 90 km/h, can carry three people, the load capacity is 300 kg, the dry weight is 450 kg. The dimensions are 3.5x1.29x.1.3 m. ZMZ-409 PRO with a capacity of 150 hp or VAZ-21126 with a capacity of 98 hp can be used as engines. Other promising domestic internal combustion engines can also be used.
Chinese developments
It is interesting to note the change in the composition of the exhibited samples of Chinese shipbuilding. If surface vessels prevailed at Army 2023, then this time most of the samples are made up of various unmanned ships and underwater vehicles. Thus, the unmanned boat S45, the portable multifunctional underwater vehicle Pilengas UUV-ISR 350, the remote mine clearance system EAS15, the unmanned boat A2000, ANPA type ST001 and a number of other systems are presented at the stand of the shipbuilding industry of the People's Republic of China. At the same time, the characteristics of such devices are not disclosed. But it can be understood that the Chinese military and engineers are closely monitoring the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine and quickly draw the necessary conclusions for themselves.
Earlier, Izvestia reported that production of multifunctional unmanned boats has begun in Russia. They can carry 20 kg of cargo, and they can also be used as a kamikaze or a platform for two UAVs. Moreover, the solutions used in the manufacture of the backup will help to quickly turn almost any boat or boat into an unmanned vehicle.
