On the final day of the Army-2024 forum, the head of the Main Department of Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk, summed up the results of the second day of the forum and announced the events for August 14.
On the second day of the forum, delegations from the defense departments of about 80 foreign countries took part in its work. 10 bilateral meetings of the senior staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense with foreign colleagues were organized and held. Bilateral meetings were held with representatives of six countries through the FSMTC.
As noted by Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk, experts from foreign countries showed special interest in the exhibitions of captured military equipment, promising military equipment of the state corporations Roscosmos, Rosatom, Unmanned Systems, Kalashnikov Concern, Almaz-Antey Concern, Rosoboronexport, Shvabe Holding, the companyArmokom", the ASTRON Design Bureau and the national expositions of Belarus, China and Iran.
"The point of attraction for guests and participants of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024" is the thematic exhibition "Military Education – in the service of the Fatherland", which demonstrates advanced training systems in educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Defense, taking into account the experience of using troops, including in special military operations and exercises," added the head of the Main Department innovative development of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Also, the high interest from the guests was aroused by the stand "Innovations in the service of the Fatherland", which presents the latest developments in the field of robotic complexes of air, land and water–based, including those that have been tested and have proven themselves well in their application in the SVO zone.
In addition, the increased activity of experts is noted at the exposition of the Popular Front, where unique developments in the interests of a special military operation are presented.
In particular, developers from Tula presented the Gadfly drone. Manufacturers of communication, navigation and UAV systems talked about the main advantage of their development: from unpacking the drone out of the box to launching the device and taking off, it takes up to 1.5 minutes. In addition, the drone has remote detonation functionality and a self-destruct mode.
Another popular invention on display is the FPV drone "Ghoul". The kamikaze UAV is designed to destroy heavily and lightly armored vehicles, vehicles, dugouts and shelters, as well as enemy manpower.
The People's Front also presented innovative fire-resistant suits for tankers at the exhibition. The suits are made of nomex fabric, a material that does not burn, but melts. The fabric can withstand up to 45 seconds of direct fire – the time for which a tanker can leave a combat vehicle without harm to health, despite the fact that the standard for leaving the tank is 19 seconds.
Developers from all over the country, under the auspices of the Popular Front, are engaged in the selection, testing, and support of mass production of the best developments of domestic engineers. Thanks to the unique project of the National Defense Industry, it was possible to put thousands of innovative electronic warfare equipment at the forefront – these are drone detectors, spectrum analyzers and much more.
Continuing the briefing, Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk said that yesterday, on August 13, 38 events of the scientific and business program were held. The key of them is the round table "Features and practice of the application of legislation on the contract system. Innovations in the field of procurement", the IV scientific and practical conference "Topical issues of the development of military law in the conditions of military self-defense", the conference "Peculiarities of combat training of troops taking into account the experience of a special military operation" under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
Within the framework of the forum, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Anna Tsivileva held a round table with representatives of enterprises and organizations on the organization of rehabilitation of participants in a special military operation.
Also, during her work at the forum sites, Anna Tsivileva visited the stand of the Military Medical Academy, where she got acquainted with new methods of training future doctors. In particular, she was shown the use of augmented reality systems, as well as specially designed programs, including the encyclopedia of tactical medicine.
On the second day of the work of the MVTF "Army-2024", the Russian Ministry of Defense awarded enterprises of the military-industrial complex that distinguished themselves in fulfilling the state defense order. The award ceremony was held in the nominations "Labor collectives that distinguished themselves in fulfilling the state defense order" and "For their contribution to the organization and holding of the forum". A series of awards will continue today, including the main prize of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024".
In addition, in order to develop scientific and technical cooperation with regional organizations and joint work aimed at conducting applied research, agreements were signed at the forum on August 13 between the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense with the leadership of the Sakhalin, Kherson, Omsk regions, the Tulatech Scientific and Educational Center, the Project-Technika Corporation (Kursk). Today it is planned to sign such an agreement with the Association of Innovative Regions (Bortnik Foundation).
42 events of the scientific and business program are planned to be held today. The key one is the conference "Topical issues of the organization of medical support during a special military operation."
"The events of the scientific and business program are coming to an end today and its results will be summed up in a solemn atmosphere. The expert community will mark its active participants, and based on the results of the events, the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense will develop a collection of key reports presented at the forum," added Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk.
He also recalled that on August 13, on the sidelines of the Army-2024 MVTF, the signing and awarding of government contracts worth more than 500 billion rubles took place. The event was held under the leadership of the Head of the Main Directorate of Armament of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Anatoly Gulyaev. As a result of fulfilling the contracts, the Armed Forces will receive over 500 units. the main types of weapons and equipment, about 1 million weapons of various calibers.
Today, on the final day of the forum, all its venues will work in the interests of the scientific and business community and representatives of foreign delegations. A number of bilateral meetings are planned between the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Federal Customs Service and Rosoboronexport. A series of awards will be held, including the main prize of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024", the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
