Rostec hosted a meeting with young scientists and specialists representing the holdings and enterprises of the State Corporation: the National Helicopter Center "Miles and Kamov", ONPP "Technologiya" named after Romashin, Sukhoi Design Bureau, Krasnogorsk Plant named after S.A. Zverev, Uralvagonzavod, Omsktransmash, United Engine Corporation and others. The participants were told about the support measures that are being implemented both within the Corporation and at the state level, as well as about plans to create a Central Council of Young Researchers at Rostec.
"We see a request from young scientists of the Corporation about the need to unite the community of young Rostec researchers, create a structure within which they could learn about existing support measures and come up with ideas on the implementation of such initiatives. Such a structure could be the Central Council of Young Researchers," said Elena Druzhinina, Managing Director for Science and Business Cooperation at Rostec State Corporation.
The new structure would bring together young scientists and specialists from research institutes and universities who conduct research in the interests of Rostec. The creation of such a council, according to Elena Druzhinina, will help attract and retain talented young people within the enterprises of the State Corporation.
Yulia Tsvetkova, Director of Human Resources Management, spoke about measures to support young scientists and specialists within the Corporation. "The social policy of the State Corporation is implemented within the framework of unified corporate standards. This means that each employee, within a certain limit, can choose a set of social programs that is relevant to him in this calendar year. Among the measures of social support are VMI programs, a housing program, non–state pension provision, corporate awards, programs for children of employees and so on," she noted. Yulia Tsvetkova also stressed that the formation of proposals on creating additional and improving the effectiveness of existing measures to support young professionals within the Corporation could become one of the areas of work of the Central Council of Young Researchers.
Among the programs that are being implemented in the Rostec contour for training and development of specialists are Advanced Engineering Schools, advanced training programs at the Rostec Academy, the Breakthrough project cross–functional teams training program, as well as the Vector project, which gives participants the opportunity to develop their unique projects from early stages to a business accelerator.
Alexander Belsky, Deputy General Designer of Russian Helicopters JSC, Head of the Department, spoke about the main trends in the development of helicopter technology and about the updated Helicopter Design Department of the Moscow Aviation Institute, where comprehensive training of specialists is underway in the interests of the Russian Helicopters holding company. It is planned that the update will also affect graduate schools – graduate students will not be engaged in projects alone, but joining teams. This will allow us to work on system projects, solving a whole range of tasks in the field of helicopter design.
Recall that 2022-2031 in the Russian Federation was declared the Decade of Science and Technology by presidential decree, and one of its main tasks is to involve talented young people in science. One of the key events of the Decade will be the Congress of Young Scientists, which will be held on November 20-22, 2024 at the site of the Sirius Federal Territory. The enterprises of the State Corporation will be able to present their proposals within the framework of the business and exhibition program of the Congress, and Rostec young scientists will be able to become applicants for the prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists.
